Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, password
- Profile information: photo, job title, bio, work experience, education, skills, location, phone number
- Identity documents: NIN slip, driver's licence, passport, CAC certificate (for verification purposes only)
- Payment information: processed securely through Paystack (we do not store card details)

- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages
- Usage data: profile views, CV downloads, QR code scans
- Device information: device type, operating system
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your ProfileStack account and public profile
- Verify your identity against official government documents
- Process payments for verification and premium services
- Display your profile to visitors who access your public profile URL
- Send you notifications about your profile activity (views, downloads, scans)
- Improve and personalise the ProfileStack experience
- Comply with legal obligations
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- The public: Your profile information (name, photo, bio, experience, skills, contact details) is visible on your public profile page at profilestack.co/{your-slug}
- Paystack: For processing payments. Paystack operates under its own privacy policy
- Our team: Staff responsible for reviewing verification documents (handled with strict confidentiality)
- Law enforcement: When required by law or to protect the safety of users or the public
Identity documents submitted for verification are never shared publicly and are accessible only to authorised ProfileStack staff.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted storage for sensitive documents
- Access controls limiting who can view your data
- Regular security audits
Identity verification documents are stored for a period of 12 months after verification, then securely deleted.

7. Payments
All payments on ProfileStack are processed through Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. ProfileStack does not store your card details. When you make a payment, you are subject to Paystack's terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.
Verification fees are non-refundable once the verification review process has begun. Current fees are listed on our pricing page.
8. Children's Privacy
ProfileStack is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or through a prominent notice on our platform. Your continued use of ProfileStack after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
